Key Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Develop a thorough understanding of categories, supplier markets, complexities, and the best-in-class procurement practices.
  • Effectively manage contracts across the organization within specified spend categories.
  • Prepare negotiation plans with clear desired outcomes and options.
  • Provide quantifiable and qualitative analysis of markets, pricing, and savings opportunities.
  • Maintain adherence to pertinent policies, processes, and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Legal, Finance, and Operations to drive business success.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to document specific business requirements and determine favorable short- and long-term category strategies.
  • Apply a collaborative approach to deliver business benefits.
  • Manage RFI/RFP/RFQ processes efficiently.
  • Lead Supplier Relationship Management activities focusing on maximizing value and minimizing risk.
  • Conduct strategic business reviews (SBRs) to drive improvement.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance metrics (KPIs, SLAs, etc.).
  • Proactively create and manage a project pipeline of category activities to drive growth.
