Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a motivated individual to take the next step in their Structural Engineering career and work on water and wastewater infrastructure projects based in our Brisbane or Gold Coast office.

  • This role involves taking on key responsibilities within project teams undertaking the design and assessment of various water and wastewater structures, including concrete process tanks, pump stations, reservoirs, and associated facilities.
  • As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will perform advanced structural engineering design tasks, develop project scope, budgets, and design approaches for small size projects, and support marketing and business development professionals.
About You:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
  • Holding or working towards RPEQ and/or Chartership is highly regarded.
  • 8 years' experience within a consulting engineering practice.
  • Involvement in the structural design of civil or industrial infrastructure with a focus on concrete and steel.
  • Under the supervision of a national team, willing to develop and expand your structural engineering experience in water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Expertise with working with a wide range of clients and stakeholders, including local authorities, government bodies, and commercial companies.
  • Strong ability to prioritize workloads while maintaining strong and trusting work relationships with clients and colleagues both locally and across the broader Stantec team.
  • Possess a strong problem-solving ability to develop practical solutions to various structural engineering challenges, both at the desktop and in the field.
