Responsibilities

As a carer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing care to clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life
  • Spending time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes, supporting with daily activities
  • Providing in-home personal care, daily living assistance, including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry, and ironing
  • Supporting clients with community-based recreational and social activities
  • Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability Support, or an equivalent qualification
  • Current Australian drivers license and a roadworthy vehicle as required
  • Experience with technology, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.
  • Confidence to satisfy relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
