About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to lead our Beauty portfolio and drive business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotions across all beauty categories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Senior Category Manager to build the category strategy by gaining a thorough understanding of customer insights and market trends.
  • Refine pricing and promotion channel plans in line with category strategy, using customer and market insights to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Partner with suppliers to build relationships and optimize supplier portfolios in the category to increase sales, profit, and customer advocacy.
  • Collaborate with the BIG W Asia and Graphic Packaging Design Team to maximize own-brand offers and grow customer advocacy.
  • Ensure that all products ranged within the category are compliant with Australian consumer law and undergo the Big W QA processes prior to ranging.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Category Manager in a large retail organization or FMCG environment, with a background in beauty or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing customer-focused category plans aligned with business strategy and supported by sound commercial insights and data.
  • Strong negotiation and influence skills with cross-functional and external stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Ability to become an industry expert in the field of responsibility within Australia.
  • Passion for product and product development, staying at the forefront of innovation and continuous improvement.
