About the RoleWe are seeking an exceptional Senior Product Design Director to lead our product design team in driving innovation and excellence. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping the design direction and vision for our products, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality experiences for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive design strategy that aligns with Xero's business objectives and values.
- Lead a team of talented designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to help them grow and develop their skills.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and ensure seamless integration of design and development.
- Conduct user research and analysis to inform design decisions and drive customer-centric solutions.
- Maintain and evolve Xero's design system, ensuring consistency and excellence across all products.
- Communicate design strategies and initiatives to internal stakeholders, including executives, product managers, and engineering leaders.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in product design leadership roles, preferably in the finance or technology industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful design strategies that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of design principles, human-centered design, and agile methodologies.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions that meet customer needs.
- Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- A competitive salary range of $220,000 - $250,000 biweekly, commensurate with experience.
