About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Rail Safety & Accreditation team at Queensland Rail, working on major projects such as Cross River Rail, ETCS Level 2 signalling and Beerburrum to Nambour rail upgrade.

The team is responsible for providing rail safety accreditation services to Queensland Rail and external project stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and provide a safe railway.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establishing rail safety requirements for project delivery and outcomes
  • Informing the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR) of changes to the railway
  • Maintaining safety interfaces through collaboration with other Rail Transport Operators
  • Supporting assurance processes to promote improvement opportunities
Requirements
  • Thorough understanding of Rail Safety National Law and working within a regulatory environment
  • Ability to deliver project updates to the regulatory body and other stakeholders
  • Experience in maintaining registers and tracking actions
  • Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • A high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills
  • Extensive organisational and coordination experience
