Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our Olympus leadership team. In this critical role, you will work closely with our Head Chef to manage all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu preparation, team supervision, and financial management.
Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with the Head Chef to develop innovative menus that showcase our commitment to quality and excellence.
- Support the management of kitchen budgets and oversee food costs while maintaining profitability.
- Lead, train, and mentor new team members in culinary techniques and protocols, promoting a culture of ongoing development and enhancement.
- Ensure smooth and consistent food preparation and service by overseeing day-to-day kitchen activities.
- Evaluate and review team performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance to foster their career advancement.
- Demonstrate a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of kitchen management and operations.
- Possess significant experience leading teams at Sous Chef level in large, high-volume restaurants with a proven track record of success.
- Show a genuine interest in developing, nurturing, and training team members, with a focus on building their capabilities and confidence.
- Be highly organised, responsible, and hands-on in the kitchen, with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
