Lead Mechanical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support in the engineering and design processes for oil and gas pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing technical support in the engineering and design processes for oil and gas pipelines
  • Building 3D models for pipe stress analysis
  • Performing analysis and developing FEED and Designs studies
  • Developing and supporting scoping documents such as routing studies and construction methodology
  • Participating in Risk assessment & SMS workshops
  • Preparing cost estimates and equipment summaries

As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be required to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 15 years of mechanical engineering experience
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in the design of Oil & Gas pipelines
  • In-depth knowledge of AS2885 and other relevant Australian acts, regulations, standards and codes related to the pipeline industry
  • CPEng / RPEQ
