Job Title: Pipeline Lead Designer

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled pipeline lead designer to join our team in Brisbane, Australia.

As a pipeline lead designer at our company, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of engineers and designers to produce high-quality engineering deliverables.

You will work closely with project managers and team members to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pipeline design, including concept development, FEED, and detail design phases.

They will also have experience with Australian standards, acts, regulations, and codes related to the pipeline industry.

In this role, you will be able to make a real impact by contributing to the transition to renewable energy systems and decarbonisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support in the Engineering and Design processes
  • Developing and supporting FEED and Designs studies
  • Participating in Risk assessment & SMS workshops
  • Communicating with Project Managers and Team Members
  • Managing and tracking single-discipline projects
  • Preparing cost estimates, equipment summaries, and tender packages
  • Writing technical reports

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in pipeline design
  • Proven experience in Australian pipeline design
  • Knowledge of AS2885 and other relevant Australian Standards
  • Engineers Australia Chartered Engineer or equivalent
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (current or eligible to attain)
