Financial Operations Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our organization. This is a joint finance role overseeing the financial activities of two business entities.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business and be a CA / CPA qualified professional with minimum 5 years experience in financial accounting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end control, reporting, and reconciliation of results over both entities. They will drive continual improvement and work with senior management to enhance the finance function for our customers, internal stakeholders and for management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing end-to-end bookkeeping processes including AR, AP and bank reconciliation
  • Managing and overseeing timely and accurate month-end completion
  • Performing comprehensive financial analysis, forecasting and modelling of company performance on a monthly basis
  • Coordinating the annual tax return process and liaising with external advisors
  • Managing compliance (BAS, PAYG, payroll tax)
  • Management of banking, treasury and taxation functions with stakeholders
  • Monitoring and management of payroll function across the Group
  • Ensuring that systems and processes are optimised, efficient and appropriate
  • Review of transactional reports and processes such as weekly payroll, weekly payment runs, debtor reports and the like
  • Mentoring and managing the accounts team

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced financial professional to take on a key leadership role within our organization.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding time management, organisation and planning skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines and tasks.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build and maintain internal and external relationships are essential.
