About the Role

SYC is seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Employment Coach to join our team in Altona Meadows. As an Employment Coach, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to reach their career goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one coaching sessions to participants, assessing their career needs, and creating personalized action plans.
  • Conduct career assessments and help clients identify their strengths, interests, and values to guide their employment goals.
  • Collaborate with community organizations to create opportunities for participants.
  • Assist participants in developing effective job search strategies, including resume writing and interview preparation.
  • Refer participants to training, counseling, and other services to increase long-term employment outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met.

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in people's lives. You will have experience in administration, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines and outlined KPI targets. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in customer service, client-facing, or an administrative role.
  • Time management, organizational skills, and the ability to plan and prioritize to achieve outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with well-developed verbal and written skills, and the ability to conduct client assessments, develop case plans, and case notes and reports.
  • Interpersonal conflict resolution and negotiation skills, along with the ability to identify innovative and lateral solutions to problems.
  • Ability to develop relationships with employers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Excellent computer skills.
