Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated ICU Registrar to join our team in Adelaide.

  • This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care and services within our hospital.
About the Role:

The Consultant Anaesthetist will provide onsite 24-hour, 7 day per week medical care, assessment and coordination of all patients in the Intensive Care and High Dependency Unit.

The role also involves attending at all Cardiac arrests throughout the hospital, managing resuscitation of patients and critical care throughout the hospital, transporting critically ill patients both within and outside the Hospital, and working as part of an interdisciplinary health team.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing Medical Care: Provide onsite 24-hour, 7 day per week medical care, assessment and coordination of all patients in the Intensive Care and High Dependency Unit.

Attending Cardiac Arrests: Attend at all Cardiac arrests throughout the hospital.

Resuscitation Management: Manage resuscitation of patients and critical care throughout the hospital.

Patient Transportation: Transport critically ill patients both within and outside the Hospital.

Team Collaboration: Work as part of an interdisciplinary health team.

Requirements:
  • Fully registered Medical Practitioner with AHPRA registration.
  • Current Membership of a Medical Defence Organisation.
  • Solid experience working a Registrar within ICU in an Australian Hospital.
  • Good communication skills with both patients and colleagues.
