About the RoleNurses are at the heart of our team, and their expertise is instrumental in delivering gold-standard intensive care to critical patients. We're seeking a talented Veterinary Technician Specialist (Emergency & Critical Care) to join our dedicated team of emergency vets and Criticalists.
This full-time, permanent position requires flexibility across a 7-day roster. If you're passionate about working independently with a reliable, adaptable, and proactive approach, we'd love to hear from you.

- Collaborate with Critical Care Specialists to provide gold-standard intensive care to critical patients
- Assist with and/or perform advanced interventions such as placement of central, PICC, and arterial lines, direct arterial pressure monitoring, urinary catheter placement, feeding tube placement, high flow nasal oxygen provision, and mechanical ventilation
- Participate in and lead CPR resuscitation efforts
- Assist with admissions and discharges from the ICU
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
- Conduct and collect various laboratory samples for internal and external analysis
- Support the emergency department with triage and procedural responsibilities
- Assist with critical care anaesthesia in collaboration with anaesthetists within the network
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- Obtained or close to obtaining, the Veterinary Technician Specialist (Emergency & Critical Care) credential
- A minimum of 5 years of full-time experience as a qualified nurse
- Previous experience in Emergency, ICU, or referral medicine is essential
