Job Title: Plant Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Equipment Specialist to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused on both pre-planned and reactive maintenance of key plant equipment.

This specialist will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing operation and efficiency of machinery used in the manufacturing process, as well as performing preventative and scheduled maintenance tasks, fault-finding to minimise production downtime, servicing and repairing motors, gearboxes, belts, bearings, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair industrial plant machinery
  • Carry out routine checks and inspections to prevent malfunctions
  • Perform fault diagnosis and repairs to plant equipment
  • Service and maintain engines, gears, and other moving parts
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment when required
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety standards

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
  • Proven experience in an industrial environment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Commitment to safe working practices
