About the Role

Lion is embarking on a transformative journey, focusing on building the next chapter of its proud legacy by embracing a challenger mindset and creating a high-performance organisation.

We're seeking a Strategic Planning Leader to join our Integrated Business Planning Team. In this role, you'll be responsible for elevating Lion's mid to long-term forecasting capability, informed by consumer, category, and customer insights. You'll be a strategic business partner to our Sales Directors, ensuring we capture an accurate view of the rolling 36-month forecast.

This role is available on a permanent, full-time basis from our Sydney CBD office with the ability to work from home 2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing the Demand Planning Team.
  • Actively partnering the Sales Directors to develop mid to long-term sales forecasts across all channels and customers.
  • Partnering with the Supply Chain Planning Team to ensure customer service levels are consistently achieved.
  • Partnering with the Revenue Growth Management (RGM) team to ensure we accurately reflect promotional activity in sales forecasts.
  • Maintaining integrity of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) principles across the business planning cycle.
  • Partnering the Planning Director in the development, implementation, and embedding of IBP improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting development of the planning capability approach for the IBP team and business partners.
  • Partnering with the Data and Technology teams in the development and implementation of the planning master data, reporting, and technology strategy and roadmap.
  • Facilitating the Demand Review Forum.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership experience: you will be an agile and inspiring leader and coach who is energised by the achievement of others.
  • A passion for business planning, expertise in forecasting, and enabling data and technology, and an ability to facilitate strong cross-functional collaboration and alignment.
  • An ability to navigate through a complex sales environment coupled with an ability to demonstrate decisive commercial thinking.
  • A strategic mindset with an ability to interpret and apply an understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisions.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships.
  • Deep understanding of demand planning and knowledge of the IBP process and best practice.
  • Experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry is essential.
