Assistant House Supervisor Role

About this position:

The Assistant House Supervisor is a key role within our residential care program, providing support to young individuals in a therapeutic setting.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as an Assistant House Supervisor. The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise within the residential care sector, particularly in a therapeutic environment.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of daily care operations during times when the supervisor is not present
  • Leadership and supervision of residential care workers
  • Development of behavioral management programs for children and adolescents with challenging behaviors
  • Interacting with and working alongside young people with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values
  • An awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families
  • A relevant diploma with significant experience including four additional mandatory competencies (Residential Care Skillset/Top Up Units)
