The role of a Powerhouse Operator is vital to our Energy Services Operations team in Port Kembla.

  • Rounds: Perform daily inspections, performance tests, on-site troubleshooting, cleaning, plant setup, isolation, startups, and overhaul work.
  • Monitoring: Ensure equipment availability for department Controllers to deliver energy and process streams to customers and maximize efficiency.
  • Communication: Share knowledge and provide technical guidance to the Energy Services Operations and Asset Development teams, ensuring streamlined communication within the team.
  • Emergencies and Alarms: Respond promptly to any emergencies and alarms, contributing to a safe working environment.

This opportunity supports a 7-day, 12-hour day shift with a focus on safety, environmental sustainability, and meeting customer requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Operational experience working within industrial processes.
  • The ability to perform complex tasks requiring high levels of attention in a repetitive environment.
