About the RoleThis position plays a key role in our Infrastructure and Operations division, working collaboratively across the council to champion our purpose and deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the Townsville community.
The successful candidate will be accountable to the General Manager Engineering and Asset Infrastructure Planning and focused on meeting the needs and aspirations of the Townsville community.
The ideal applicant will have:
- Minimum Trade qualifications in Engineering and eligibility for membership with the Asset Management Council;
- Basic asset management skills in water and waste asset types, including asset renewal and maintenance strategies, concepts, theories, techniques, and principles;
- Extensive knowledge and experience in performing analysis in various information technology systems, including Microsoft Office suite and Business Management Systems;
- Demonstrated experience in performing asset maintenance and renewal improvement programs;
- 2 years of working experience in a similar role;
- Current Queensland "C" class driver's license;
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Council policy, procedures, and practices, relevant legislations, codes, and guidelines relating to the Queensland Local Government Act and appropriate asset management standards as well as industry codes of practice and other associated legislation and codes relevant to the position (preferred).
A competitive salary of around $120,000 per annum, plus benefits including:
- 17.5% annual leave loading;
- Up to 5 weeks annual leave;
