Regulatory Manager Role

This role involves overseeing regulatory reporting obligations across federal and state jurisdictions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor emerging regulatory trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on regulatory impacts.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with regulators.
  • Represent the business in regulatory reporting and compliance discussions.
  • Align reporting frameworks with business goals, including decarbonisation and market expansion.
Operational Leadership

Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory reporting obligations and KPIs.

  • Provide guidance and training across teams on evolving requirements.
  • Lead the development and evolution of efficient internal data and reporting systems.
Compliance Governance

Document obligations, risks, and controls using GRC systems.

  • Ensure alignment with internal compliance and risk management frameworks.
  • Support internal and external audits related to regulatory reports.
Data Insights Reporting

Coordinate collection, validation, and analysis of data for all regulatory submissions.

  • Prepare and review periodic and ad-hoc regulatory reports with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Respond to information requests from regulators and assist with audits.
  • Partner across business functions (e.g., operations, finance, legal, data) to ensure reporting integrity and business insight.
About You

Candidates must possess a degree in law, business, accounting, finance, engineering or a related field. A minimum 8 years' experience in a regulatory, compliance or reporting-focused role is also required.

  • Deep understanding of regulatory reporting requirements in the energy sector.
  • Experience with governance, risk and compliance (GRC) tools such as Archer.
