Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist Role

The Operations Planning & Analysis team seeks a Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist to deliver timely insights into Airport Costs at Jetstar. This role involves providing support to the Leadership Team in analysis, insight, and ensuring key deliverables are met and aligned with strategic direction.

This position requires delivering clear and consistent reporting of financial performance, including monthly results. You will also be responsible for supporting the Finance Manager and Senior Finance Manager on ad-hoc projects, reporting, and presentations, as well as collaborating with Jetstar Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver independent analysis of Airport Costs across the Jetstar network, with the ability to interrogate trends and think analytically to uncover drivers of performance.
  • Forecast expected financial outcomes, aligned to latest negotiated rate positions, flying schedule, and other influencing factors.
  • Support the build of the Airport costs annual budget and long-term planning.
  • Work with Financial Control stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting of actual results.
  • Provide financial support to departments for business cases and/or contract reviews, including detailed financial modelling and analysis.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary studies in a related discipline.
  • Professional Accounting (CPA/CA), or equivalent Finance qualification.
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in management accounting/business analyst arena.
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling, and cause-and-effect skills.
  • Experienced in preparing and delivery of presentations to Senior Management.
