**Job Opportunity:**

Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to join our Social Work Department. You will be working in the Intensive Care Unit with patients and their families, carers.

You will be part of a large, dedicated and highly skilled department working with culturally and socially diverse patients and their families.

The role involves working with patients and their families, assessing, planning, organising, delivering, evaluating and reporting on the provision of high quality Social Work care.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Plan, coordinate and implement clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge within a social work specialty area
  • Assess, plan, organise, deliver, evaluate and report on the provision of high quality Social Work care
  • Demonstrate advanced Social Work reasoning skills and exercise independent professional judgement
  • Communicate effectively in a culturally sensitive manner with patients/clients, families and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide advice and support regarding Social Work to healthcare professionals
**Requirements:**
  • Qualifications in accordance with relevant health standards
  • Extensive postgraduate clinical experience in a relevant specialty area
  • Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills
  • Ability to provide advice and education to enhance service delivery
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
