Financial Reporting Specialist

As a leading organisation in the Energy & Natural Resources sector, we are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve accuracy.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity within accounting systems.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a BIG 4 firm.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA or CPA (or working towards them).
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Experience in the Energy & Natural Resources sector is desirable but not essential.
