Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Financial Reporting Specialist to join our corporate finance team.

This role focuses on financial reporting, statutory compliance, and strategic thinking.

  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes for corporate entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare monthly Profit & Loss financial analysis and commentary.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax agents to support the preparation of financial statements, audits, and to ensure tax compliance.
  • Oversee and maintain corporate entity asset registers, ensuring accurate depreciation and asset tracking.
  • Ensure timely lodgement and compliance of all statutory obligations, including BAS, PAYG withholding, FBT, Superannuation, Payroll Tax and Workcover requirements.
  • Prepare and review complex account reconciliations.
  • Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining strong financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure robust accounting practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in the implementation, enhancement, and continuous improvement of financial and accounting systems and processes.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives across the finance function.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members when required.
  • Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as directed by the Senior Financial Accountant and CFO.

Key Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in finance and/or accounting.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or first mover from audit.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Netsuite, Tech1, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong relationship management capabilities.
  • Professional presentation and approach.
