
Equipment Supervisor

This role is responsible for managing equipment under a Long Term Service Agreement (LTSA), highlighting the value of Equipment Health Management (EHM) and working closely with regional/district field operations to maintain and enhance service quality delivery and customer relationships.
Nature and Scope:
- This position reports primarily to the Operations Manager on all activities associated with the assigned LTSA. Depending on the regional/district or department structure, reporting may also be to the Principle/Senior Fleet Manager.
- The Fleet Manager provides direction to fleet engineers and solar/customer field personnel for operational and technical activities.
- They serve as a customer/solar technical focal point for the LTSA covered equipment.
- Additionally, they provide commercial support to LTSA, acting as a liaison between Solar and Customer on financial decisions.
- Clear communications with key solar/customer personnel are enabled and maintained.
- A consistent approach is utilized, ensuring consistency of service delivery and world-class performance through People, Processes, and Technology developed by Machinery Management Services.
- The working environment involves Solar/Customer office or facility, potentially remote and requiring extensive travel.
- The position may be designated to multiple customers or dedicated to a single customer.
- Familiarity with and adherence to the scope of services for the LTSA covered equipment are required.
- The position tracks and promotes the value of services provided under the LTSA.
- Insight Connect enablement involves providing solar/customer liaison and support for the implementation of Insight Connect solutions for covered equipment.
- Commissioning projects involve supporting the aftermarket sales team in identifying equipment package refurbishment upgrade opportunities. Engagement with commissioning and PRU activities of current covered equipment and new equipment included under the LTSA is also necessary. Once projects/commissioned equipment is handed over to customer operations, sourcing related documentation and adding it to the document management system for reference is required.
- Alert management: Investigative actions are performed following the Insight System alert management model, clearly documenting steps to acknowledge and disposition alerts in a timely manner, providing resolution and closure with the customer.
- CATCH: InSight System equipment health-related alerts are promoted to Customer Advisory to Change in Health (CATCH), with clear documentation of all actions taken.
- PAR: High-value InSight System CATCH's are promoted to Preventive Action Reports (PAR) to provide value-added documentation to the customer on services included in the LTSA.
- Service bulletin management: Review and management of all service bulletins issued for covered equipment under the LTSA determine if applicable, and support customer implementation planning.
- Engine history: Covered equipment engine history tracking is maintained.
- Overhaul optimization: Using operational data to determine accurate equipment health, working closely with the customer to optimize run life while best meeting customer operational needs through identifying exchange opportunities in advance.
- Unplanned downtime: Documenting instances using the InSight System equipment state characterization.
- Availability/reliability: Maintaining and updating InSight System equipment data characterization.
- Key Performance Indicators: Managing and delivering on Key Performance Indicators described in LTSA.
- Remote troubleshooting: Utilizing LiveView capability to perform remote troubleshooting and analysis of operating parameters for covered equipment.
- Customer reporting: Generating and providing concise reports to the customer consolidating operational, technical, and HSSE activities for covered equipment, utilizing InSight System alert management and equipment state characterization documented events.
- Document management: Maintaining the document management system with customer value-added reports/documents outlined in the LTSA.
- Condition assessment: Planning and scheduling condition assessments for covered equipment per schedule in LTSA. Data collected by personnel performing the condition assessment visit is reviewed and compiled into a report for Solar review prior to customer delivery.
- LTSA performance management reviews: Scheduling and hosting performance review meetings, ensuring key players from Solar and customer are in attendance.
- Failure investigation: Driving the failure investigation process at the field level, analyzing site-related data and information to assist Solar engineering in determining the cause of failure.
- Operational efficiency: Being aware of customer operational objectives to identify and support critical equipment operations. Working with the customer on continuous operational improvements, leveraging Solar operational and technical resources for support.
- Maintenance optimization: Supporting the customer in reviewing and developing enhanced Solar OEM maintenance programs for covered equipment.
- Spare parts recommendations: Supporting the customer through recommendations of critical spares stocking and any consolidation of spares between assets. Redundant purchases of spare parts are eliminated, and recommendations are made for stock levels and optimum location of parts to support maintenance plans.
