Job Title: Calibration Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Calibration Technician to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and functionality of a diverse range of scientific and industrial equipment.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be a hands-on individual responsible for conducting precise calibrations of measuring instruments, setting up and verifying test equipment, and recording readings and data accurately to generate calibration certificates.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct precise calibrations of measuring instruments while following strict calibration procedures and standards.Set up and verify test equipment and record readings and data accurately.Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Identify and diagnose issues with malfunctioning equipment.Repair and rectify faults in scientific and industrial instruments.Offer expert technical advice on equipment usage and assist with setup or troubleshooting remotely or on-site.Maintain and manage a clean, organized, and safe workshop/laboratory.Generate detailed documentation and reports of all work and services performed on equipment.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A relevant Diploma in a related scientific or technical field (Instrumentation, Electronics, Metrology, Applied Physics, etc.) or agreed equivalent.
  • At least 1 year or more of practical experience in calibration, maintenance, and repair of laboratory and industrial equipment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant Australian and international standards and NATA requirements for calibration and testing laboratories.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Benefits:
