Job Role Summary

This position involves the operation of precision engineering equipment to manufacture components.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CNC setup, programming and operational skills, as well as proficiency in CAD/CAM software and/or G-code programming.

In addition, the ability to accurately interpret and work from engineering drawings is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate high-precision machining equipment to manufacture complex components.
  • Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings with accuracy, ensuring that specifications are met.
  • Select, align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments and materials for machining processes.
  • Verify product quality using precision measuring equipment.
  • Edit CNC programs, adjust machining factors and troubleshoot operations as required.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure machine reliability and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • A trade qualification with 3-5 years' hands-on experience in a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC setup, programming and operational procedures.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and/or G-code programming.
  • Ability to accurately interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings.
  • Self-motivation with a high standard of workmanship and minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
