Janitorial Services Job Description

This role is responsible for delivering exceptional maintenance support and janitorial services across warehouse and surrounding grounds. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work a rotating roster, including weekend hours between 5am-11pm.

Main Responsibilities
  • Clean warehouse floors, offices, break rooms, and restrooms to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Adhere to departmental standards for cleanliness and performance of duties to ensure seamless operations
  • Restock supplies and equipment as needed to prevent stockouts and delays
  • Empty trash from designated areas throughout the warehouse to maintain a clean and organized environment
  • Operate garbage compactor and cardboard baler with precision and efficiency
  • Check daily schedule for assigned routine tasks and maintenance repair jobs to stay on track
  • Maintain equipment, paint, replace bulbs, and perform routine repairs throughout the warehouse to minimize downtime
  • Assist with installing and repairing building displays and fixtures to enhance visual appeal
  • Purchase supplies and parts needed for projects to ensure timely completion
  • Maintain grounds outside warehouse including blowing leaves, picking up litter, and building maintenance to create a positive first impression
  • Follow proper safety and security procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Respond quickly to and clean up spills to prevent damage and maintain a safe environment
  • Assist in other areas of the warehouse as necessary to provide comprehensive support
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service to exceed expectations
Requirements

Higher School Certificate or higher; Janitor, maintenance or comparable experience; Problem solving and critical thinking; Strong attention to detail
