The Senior Operational Engineer is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of Unitywater's water, sewer, and recycled water networks. This role involves conducting fault analysis and resolution, reviewing and optimising network performance, and providing expert input into asset renewals and upgrades to ensure best practices are followed.

About You:

  • You will have an engineering degree (Civil/Mechanical) or equivalent applied experience.
  • You will have expertise in fault analysis and operation of hydraulic networks, with knowledge of water utility regulations and protocols.
  • You will have proven success in delivering technical solutions under pressure through systematic problem-solving and confident decision-making.
  • You will have a strong ability to complete tasks and delegate priorities to manage operational risks effectively.
  • You will be skilled in multitasking and time management to meet critical priorities.
  • You will be able to balance technical, commercial, and customer needs.
  • You will have effective communication of technical topics in business terms.
  • You will have experience collaborating across teams and multiple interfaces.
  • You will be able to participate in an on-call roster.
  • You will have a valid C Class Driver's License.
