Job Overview:

In this role, you will be joining a business advisory team that undertakes forensic analysis and business valuation work for business and private clients. Through this role, you will learn matters such as business valuations, modelling, dispute and litigation work, and be able to provide written reports and advice on those findings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quantifying and analyzing both financial and non-financial information.
  • Modelling financial information for business decisions and economic loss.
  • Conducting research and analysis of various business, industry, and economic data.
  • Constructing valuations of a wide range of businesses for litigation and business transactions.
  • Assisting in planning and managing projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with law and regulations in our investigations.
  • Preparing reports for litigation and advice purposes.
  • Collaborating closely with legal teams and stakeholders.
  • Working directly under a partner.
  • Having autonomy to manage projects and deliverables to deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, audit, or public practice taxation.
  • Proficient use of accounting systems and tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and lateral thinking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining complex financial concepts to non-accountants.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-pressure situations.
  • Continuing interest in learning and maintaining knowledge of economic, business, and industry issues.
