Mechanical Workshop Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Workshop Supervisor to join our established Maintenance team at Ingleburn NSW. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely and effectively managing the workshop and associated activities to ensure the Ingleburn facility is available to be fully utilised for production as required.
Key Responsibilities- Promote and ensure a Zero Harm safety culture
- Manage the workshop; ensure clear focus and responsibilities are set for all
- Manage maintenance team and maintenance contractors
- Manage SHE performance of direct reports and assist in any associated plans
- Develop the competence of individual employees by identifying and organising the training and work experience necessary to meet an individual's development needs
- Develop professional vendor / supplier relationships
- Supervise maintenance activities during scheduled shutdowns
- Manage contractors
- Ability to review Work orders and identify key actions to deliver continuous improvement
- Assist to implement preventative maintenance plans for all new equipment
- Liaise with Production/operations team to ensure the best overall result for the factory
- Planning and prioritising maintenance schedules, repairs and Engineering activities to minimise downtime
- Ensure maintenance parts are ordered in a timely manner
- Ensure the engineering store is kept in good order and stocktakes are up to date
- Maintaining a clean and safe Workshop
- Create Notification and Work orders
- Ensure Maintenance KPI's are met
- Mechanical trade license or similar that has previous experience as a Fitter within a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading teams
- Previous exposure within planning, scheduling & shutdowns
- Confined spaced, forklift & WAH - preferred
- Strong safety focus
- SAP maintenance system proficiency
- First Aid and Elevated Work Platform certifications - desired
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- A hands-on attitude, strong problem-solving skills
