Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our maritime infrastructure development initiatives in the Southeast Region of Florida.

Main Responsibilities

  • To develop and implement strategies for expanding our ports practice in the SE Region through ongoing business development activities.
  • To lead a team of developing port and maritime engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to support their growth and achievement of goals.
  • To conduct structural analysis and design for marine and upland components, including berthing and mooring analyses, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • To prepare plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates for port projects, applying expertise in maritime engineering and project management.
  • To prepare basis of design, design calculations, technical reports, alternatives analyses, and study reports, utilizing interdisciplinary requirements to improve project processes.
  • To attend client meetings and perform site visits, promoting our ports services and cross-selling across all disciplines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in analysis and design of port structures.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Florida.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Previous experience in analysis and design of medium to large scale ports/maritime/structures and preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Proven experience in business development, hiring, managing, and motivating staff.
  • Existing relationships with port entities in FL.
