They will be responsible for completing intermediate to advanced civil engineering drafting and design tasks, autonomously applying engineering principles and making informed decisions.

  • Drafting and Design: Use technical accuracy and quality deliverables developed using AutoDesk Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and other Civil Engineering-related software programs.
  • Stormwater Management: Aid in the development of stormwater management plans while under the direction of a Professional Engineer, analyzing design alternatives to develop cost-effective solutions to project challenges.
  • Coordinate Multi-Discipline Drawing Sets: Coordinate the preparation of advanced multi-discipline drawing sets as required for assigned projects, including coordination with technical, administrative, and other design staff.
  • Quality Assurance: Promote, utilize, and support quality assurance and quality control processes to improve the quality of deliverables and reduce design errors and omissions.
  • Research and Review: Research, review, interpret, and understand written design standards, regulations, code compliance, and permit requirements and apply them to design projects.
  • Design Calculations: Assist with design calculations, calculate quantities, review technical specifications, and prepare cost estimates.
