Vessel Operations Specialist

**About the Role**

The position we are seeking to fill is for a diligent and reliable individual who will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our vessel.

The General Hand's primary duties will include:

  • Securing the vessel as directed by the crew
  • Assisting passengers boarding and disembarking the vessel, including electric wheelchair assistance
  • Facilitating the check-in process and transferring vessel stores, passengers and vehicles
  • Performing general maintenance and cleaning tasks in the passenger terminal and wharf area

Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to maintain a high level of safety awareness at all times, and work effectively as part of a team to ensure excellence in customer service.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and a 'can do' attitude. You will also require the ability to think on your feet and solve problems as they arise.

Key requirements for this position include:

  • Drivers Licence - Essential
  • Experience in providing Customer Service - Essential
  • Senior First Aid - Desirable
  • Fork Lift Licence - Desirable
  • Past Trade experience - Desirable
  • Previous experience in stock control processes - Desirable
