Vessel Operations Coordinator
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Vessel Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and operate vessels during opening hours, performing general ship-keeping duties and ensuring safety systems are functioning properly.
- Work with Front of House and Public Engagement teams to support visitor tours, maintaining a smooth flow of visitors and liaising with volunteers and staff.
- Monitor vessel safety systems, reporting any deficiencies to the Fleet Manager to ensure visitor and staff safety.
- Provide face-to-face assistance and support for visitor groups, contractors, and authorized visitors, ensuring a positive experience.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated knowledge and interest in the fleet vessels and their history.
- Qualifications and experience in first aid, guiding, safety/security training, or relevant maritime qualifications.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in guiding.
