Support Worker for Independent Living

We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our team as Support Workers in an independent living environment. This role involves working closely with individuals, providing support and care that enables them to thrive in their daily lives.

About the Role:
  • Provide personal care services including assistance with hygiene, grooming, meals, and mobility.
  • Support participants with daily living skills and community engagement activities.
  • Deliver care during sleepovers and overnight shifts.
  • Maintain effective communication with participants, families, and the broader team.
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and shift notes are maintained in line with regulatory standards.
Key Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Previous experience in high-needs environments is highly regarded.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Familiarity with the NDIS framework and the SIL sector is a plus.
  • Certificates in Disability, Community Services, or Individual Support (or working towards) are desirable.
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification.
  • Valid Blue Card / NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
