The Role Overview

Protecting ALH Hotels from financial crime and promoting safer gambling is key in this position.

You will combine your knowledge of financial crime and safer gambling with data analytics and visualisation skills to identify, prevent, and mitigate risks.

  • Enhance capabilities using advanced data analytics and visualisation tools.
  • Uncover emerging trends in complex datasets and provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with technology and data teams to implement and optimise systems for financial crime and safer gambling controls.

Schedule regular meetings with the AML Operations Team to produce data-driven insights across financial crime and responsible gaming functions.

Oversight of all data-related projects supports financial crime and responsible gaming functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of risk management or compliance/regulatory experience in financial services and/or gaming.
  • Experience in transaction monitoring scenario design and development, risk assessments, and risk scoring methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualisation tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Knowledge of robust data governance and privacy principles relevant to consumer customers in Australia.
