Event Rigging Specialist

The Opportunity:

  • Execute a variety of event rigging, assist the rigging team on larger/more complex rigging events and lead the rigging team on smaller events.
  • Work mainly in a hospitality or convention/exhibition center environment, upholding the highest level of customer service and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare rigging equipment, tools, and safety equipment as per event requirement, ensuring equipment is in service and fit for use.
  2. Ensure all rigging is executed safely, complying with legislative, manufacturer, and industry requirements, and best practices.
  3. De-prep rigging equipment, tools, and safety equipment, ensuring equipment is packed away and stored properly, equipment is maintained, and any defective equipment is out of service and reported.
  4. Ability to interpret rigging plots, CAD plans, working load limits, and calculate loads.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Events Industry.
  • EWP & Intermediate Riggers ticket.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a hospitality environment.
  • Experience with rigging load calculations highly regarded.
  • Previous experience supervising a rigging team highly regarded.
  • Customer-centric and excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
