At WestCycle, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Events Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of mass participation events. Our ideal candidate will be a strong leader who inspires and supports others, while being hands-on and taking ownership of every aspect of event delivery.

About the Role:
  • Event Management: Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of all events.
  • Manage the on-day event coordination of all events including setup, signage, logistics, volunteer coordination and pack down.
  • Manage all third-party event logistic providers and contractors.
  • Create and manage event documentation such as risk management and emergency management plans.
  • Manage all required approvals for events including Council; Local Police and State Police (Traffic) and Main Roads.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage timelines and key milestones for all events.
  • Set up event registration systems and lead rider pack collections.
  • Execute and source sponsorship opportunities.
  • Work closely with the communications team to coordinate event marketing campaigns.
Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage budgets alongside Senior Management for all events, accounting for all expenditure within approved budgets.
  • Working with Senior Management to ensure that events are meeting all business financial targets.
  • Contractor invoice reconciliation and processing.
  • Ensure cost effective procurement and value for money across all event operations.
