Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver precise radiation therapy to patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring quality care and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the team for optimal service delivery, maintaining safety and adherence to NSW Health guidelines.
  • Engage in continuous education, research, and quality improvement, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in radiation therapy.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and medical staff, ensuring excellent patient care.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Graduate of a course in Medical Radiation Science-Radiation Therapy, accredited by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority.
  • Registration: Eligible for AHPRA registration as a Medical Radiation Therapist.
  • Licence: Eligible for EPA licensure by the Department of Environment and Climate Control NSW.

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrate sound knowledge and experience in all aspects of radiation therapy, including excellent communication skills in written, oral, and electronic formats.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of radiation therapy quality assurance and quality controls, including radiation safety measures in radiation therapy.
  • Demonstrated proven ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated interest in continuing professional development, research, and quality improvement activities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent patient care.
