About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Document Controller to play a crucial role in implementing technical direction for major projects.

This role involves working collaboratively with project management and engineering teams to ensure documentation is controlled, managed, and archived according to business strategy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining project files, records, and systems in line with project procedures and processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining an efficient project-related document control register.
  • Knowledge of check and review cycles, including the creation of workflows.
  • Knowledge of current document control standards.
  • Supervising and recording document flow to and from all necessary parties, including external parties, sub-contractors, and corporate offices.
  • Assisting with user issues, requests, and training for electronic document management systems.
  • Acting as a key contact between organizations and their third-party-supplied electronic document management systems.
  • Supporting the rollout of electronic document management systems, championing their use within good project governance, and identifying areas of improvement and opportunity.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position.
  • Document management and coordination experience in a project or design environment.
  • IT skills with common document management systems. Web-based development skills are highly regarded.
  • Working experience of Commnia would also be highly regarded.
  • Secondary completion.
  • A current right to work in Australia.
