We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Operations Specialist to join our construction client on the Gold Coast.

This senior role requires a strong background in contracts management, claims analysis, and legal guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to review, negotiate, and manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide expert guidance and support in contract interpretation and dispute resolution.
  • Analyze and assess contractual risks, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Oversee claims management, including evaluation, negotiation, and settlement of claims.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective communication and coordination between departments.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, laws, and regulations affecting commercial operations.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation related to commercial activities.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in a contracts management or Commercial Operations Specialist role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, claims management, and legal aspects of the industry.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex contractual issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, law, or a related field (preferred).
