Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our team at the Rydalmere Service Centre in Australia. As a Mechanical Equipment Specialist, you'll be responsible for the mechanical repair and maintenance of large equipment, including electric motors, shafts, gears, and bearing fits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanical repair and maintenance of LV, MV, and HV electrical rotating machinery
  • Replacing or repairing worn or defective mechanical assemblies
  • Balancing mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment
  • Conducting mechanical repairs on shafts, journals, and housings
  • Correctly requisitioning items from stores/purchasing, as approved by your Supervisor
  • Cleaning electromechanical equipment assemblies using various methods

Requirements

  • Trade Certificate III Fitter & Turner or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical fitting large equipment such as electric motors
  • A forklift license
  • A customer service focus with adaptability
  • Strong time management skills
