We are seeking a skilled Materials Processing Technician to join our Acoustics Manufacturing Team at Thales. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the coordination of materials processing activities, from raw material receipt to the creation of manufactured raw material suitable for machining sonar piezoceramics.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain materials processing equipment, including ball mills, spray dryers, kilns, and pressing equipment.
- Ensure areas are maintained and effectively cleaned to prevent contamination of product.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is effectively maintained.
- Complete batch card information to ensure traceability of each batch of material processed.
- Previous experience in a materials processing factory-based environment.
- Qualifications in mechanical trade are advantageous but not required.
- Exposure to MEX maintenance software is highly regarded.
- Ability to comprehend technical and mechanical issues.
- Good understanding of manual and chemical handling.
