Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deli Service Specialist to join our team. As a Deli Service Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and labeling meals, entrees, salads, party trays, rotisserie chicken, sliced meats, and cheeses. You will also be required to prep take-and-bake pizzas, stock and rotate merchandise in the display case, maintain equipment and machinery, and provide excellent customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will work a rotating roster with weekend work hours between 5am-11pm.
  • You will dismantle and sanitise equipment in the Deli and Rotisserie rooms.
  • You will inspect and reassemble equipment, addressing any corrective actions from the previous night.
  • You will rework the display case, filling and rotating merchandise.
  • You will complete required department paperwork.
  • You will clean and sanitise your work area throughout the day, following sanitation guidelines for proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment.
  • You will complete and comply with quality assurance, food safety certification, and all safety training required by the warehouse, service deli, and rotisserie department.
  • You will comply with health code by following sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures.
  • You will stock and rotate supplies in the cooler/freezer.
  • You will remove rubbish from the department and work areas.
  • You will operate the trash compactor and cardboard baler.
  • You will skewer and load chicken into the rotisserie ovens.
  • You will cook chicken as per Standard Operating Procedure.
  • You will package, label, and display chicken in the hot holding cabinet.
  • You will adhere to all departments' Standard Operating Procedures.
  • You will prepare meat, poultry, cold meat, vegetables, and seafood as per Standard Operating Procedure.
  • You will assemble platters, pizzas, sushi, salads, raw meats, and other items sold in the Service Deli and Rotisserie departments.
  • You will assist with other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
  • You will provide prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and vendors.
  • You will have the ability to operate vehicles, equipment, or machinery.
Requirements
  • You must hold a Higher School Certificate or higher.
  • You must have food service or comparable experience.
  • You must have previous food handling experience.
  • You must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
