The primary purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of Accident & Health Japanese client claims. You will also be required to communicate with brokers, claimants, and others as needed, providing prompt and professional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of claims for Accident & Health Japanese client claims as allocated.
  • Assess claims according to our service level and quality requirements, determining coverage and reserving within timeframes.
  • Communicate by telephone and written correspondence to brokers, claimants, and others as required.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Respond to enquiries and escalations of matters from underwriters, brokers, and customers.
  • Apply claims policies and procedures, including fraud, salvage, cost containment, and complaints.
  • Review income replacement claims for payment of periodic benefits and develop strategies for claim management and successful return to work.
  • Facilitate payment of claims costs and service provider fees.
  • Provide advice and instructions to outsourced service providers as required.
  • Monitor performance and processes of service providers.
  • Assist in daily payment, audit, and administrative tasks.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Japanese is essential.
