About the Role

Cox Purtell is seeking a highly skilled Technical IT Systems Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our ICT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of our IT systems by providing first-level technical support and exceptional customer service to internal users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support for hardware, software, and peripherals, including troubleshooting printers, mobile devices, and business applications.
  • System Maintenance: Perform system maintenance, assist with backups, and support the installation of IT equipment and software.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain records of IT assets, including hardware, software, and consumables, while ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Documentation and Collaboration: Develop and maintain IT documentation and workflows, and collaborate with the ICT team to ensure system reliability and drive process improvements.
Essential Skills and Experience
  1. Australian Citizenship or Residency: Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents.
  2. Relevant Qualification and Experience: Relevant qualification in Information Technology (e.g., TAFE Diploma) and at least two years of experience in an ICT Service Desk role.
  3. Microsoft Technologies: Advanced expertise in managing and supporting Microsoft technologies, including Windows 10 Professional, Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange/Outlook, and Networking Fundamentals.
  4. Smartphone and Tablet Configuration: Experience configuring and supporting smartphones and tablets.
  5. Troubleshooting Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills for peripherals such as network printers.
  6. Business Application Knowledge: Familiarity with TechnologyOne or similar Council business applications, including Civica Authority, Datascape by Datacom, Infor Public Sector, Oracle ERP Cloud, or SAP S/4HANA Public Sector.
  7. Customer Focus and Communication Skills: Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a focus on customer service and problem-solving.
  8. Organisational and Documentation Skills: Excellent communication, organisational, and documentation skills.
