Job Title: Highway Transport Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced mechanic to join our team in a key role that involves providing repairs and maintenance to highway going trucks, generators, dewatering pump units, lighting plants, mobile and classified plant equipment.

About the Role:
  • Repair and maintain heavy-duty vehicles and equipment ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.
  • Contribute to our safety culture by being proactive and demonstrating high standards of execution within your trade.
  • Operate mobile equipment safely and within limits of competence, training and experience.
  • Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation and reports as required.
  • Use computerised maintenance systems to manage work orders and resources.
  • Support the Maintenance Supervisor with work scheduling, resource allocation and prioritisation when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Australian recognised Heavy Road Transport Mechanical qualification.
  • High Risk Licence qualifications (Working at Heights, HR, CV, Dogging, Rigging, Forklift, Air Con Ticket).
  • Extensive experience diagnosing, maintaining and repairing a range of machinery and equipment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team to achieve outcomes.
