Job Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and reconditioning driveshafts for various applications, including automotive, commercial, off-highway, and industrial sectors. This role involves the machining of driveline components, assembling, welding, and balancing driveshafts, as well as performing general workshop duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and recondition driveshafts to meet customer specifications
  • Machine driveline components using manual lathes and other equipment
  • Assemble and weld driveshafts, ensuring high-quality standards
  • Balance driveshafts to optimal performance levels
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and tools
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Well-developed fitting and machining skills obtained in a workshop environment
  • Sound mechanical aptitude and knowledge
  • Experience operating manual lathes and welding equipment is essential
  • Demonstrate flexibility with job tasks and adaptability to changing work priorities
  • Proven safety and quality focus, with ability to perform assigned duties safely and responsibly
