About the Role

This is an excellent chance for current university students or recent graduates to participate in various projects within the council. You will rotate through the Development Assessment and Strategic Planning team, gaining comprehensive knowledge of development applications and strategic planning.

  • Assist in evaluating and reporting on development applications, planning proposals, and policies in a timely manner.
  • Conduct research to inform decision-making regarding development application assessments and planning proposal recommendations.
  • Participate in pre-development application and scoping proposal meetings as necessary.
  • Attend council and planning panel meetings to present and respond to questions.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand and meet the needs of the local community, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
