Planning Team Lead Role

About the Position

We are seeking a Planning Team Lead to join our established team in Wollongong or Sydney offices.

The successful candidate will contribute to business goals by providing leadership and mentoring the planning team, whilst also providing professional planning advice in both statutory and strategic planning.

  • Lead a team of Urban Planners, ensuring correct staffing levels and resourcing of projects
  • Maintain a high level of engagement with team members
  • Work with partner Team leads across other disciplines to achieve project outcomes
  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in urban planning research, data analysis and report writing
  • Act as project manager with planning, programming and coordination of projects
  • Develop project plans and strategies for the completion of major projects

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or Architecture / Urban Design
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a consultancy environment or similar
  • Proficiency in urban planning research, data analysis and report writing
  • Extensive experience in statutory or strategic planning, preferably within NSW
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development
